Good Afternoon Coach, My name is John F. Cotten and I am the Director of the National Capital Hockey Tournament also known as the Purple Puck sponsored by the Gonzaga College High School. I’m touching bases with you to officially invite your Ice Hockey Program to participate in this year tournament. This year tournament is bound to be another great one full of great competition as past participants have included OHSAA Champions St. Ignatius, Pennsylvania regular season Champion St. Joe’s Prep., Mercer County Champions The Hun School of Princeton, NJ, Garden Valley, Winkler, Canada, Along with the MAPHL Champions and number one ranked team in the Washington Metropolitan Area Gonzaga Eagles. This is a great chance for your program to visit Washington DC and its museums and monuments while getting a chance to play some great hockey. It’s an experience the kids will never forget. We also have a great deal on lodging that’s minutes from everywhere. The addition of your program would only strengthen what will be a strong line-up. The particulars are below. What: 22nd Annual National Capital Hockey Tournament When: December 26-28 (Varsity) 28-30 (Prep), 2014 Where: Ft. Dupont Ice Arena, Washington, DC Format: 3 Games Guaranteed Cost: $1,000.00 We do have a spot for your JV program, if they are interested in coming.
